Q: If I already have a workers’ compensation, can InsLite help me?
A: Yes! InsLite.com can either rewrite your policy with one of our participating carriers OR – if you have coverage through an insurance company that works with InsLite – we can take over the administration of your policy at renewal and you will be eligible for the 50% commission rebate.
Inslite will save you money... GUARANTEED!
Q: If workers’ compensation rates are already set in the State of Florida…how can InsLite.com actually save me any money?
A: InsLite.com offers its clients a fifty percent rebate on the commissions collected on workers’ compensation policies! So – as the agent – InsLite is giving you back one half of the sales commission that is collected for your policy!
Think of InsLite.com as an alternative to high priced insurance brokers – just like discount stock brokers are an alternative to more-expensive 'traditional' brokers.
You, the customer, already know what you need and, in many cases, know what you want. Why should you pay full commissions when the insurance agent or broker is adding zero value to the transaction?
Q: Why can’t my current agent do the same thing for me and save me money on my Florida workers’ compensation policy?
A: The Florida State Statute 626.572 is very specific on the instances and circumstances in which rebating is allowed. Rebating must be offered to ‘all insured’s in the same actuarial class’ as well as ‘…uniformly applied in that all insured’s who purchase the same policy through the agent for the same amount of insurance receive the same percentage rebate’.
It is impossible for a ‘traditional’ retail agent or broker to comply with these guidelines and offer rebates that adhere to the Florida Statutes governing same.
InsLite.com offers only Florida workers’ compensation (so there is only one ‘actuarial class’ of clients) and provides all clients a fifty percent rebate on the commissions collected.
The InsLite.com model, therefore, is ‘simple...but not easy’. Traditional brokers do not have the corporate structure or technical platform to offer what InsLite.com can offer to its clients.
Q: When do I get my rebate from InsLite.com?
A: Your rebate is guaranteed to reach you no more than sixty days after the final premium audit is conducted, billed, and collected on your policy.
For example, if you have a policy that runs from January 15th, 2008 – January 15th, 2009, the final premium audit is generally conducted within thirty (30) days of the end of your policy (in this example, that would be February 15th at the latest.)
Once your audit is finalized (and – if money is owed – paid), InsLite.com does an accounting of the premium(s) and commission(s) collected and remits a check to you based on the final premium.
Q. What is I cancel my policy mid-term? Do I still get a rebate?
A. Yes. InsLite remits the rebate based on collected (paid) premium and collected (paid) commissions. For as long as you pay your premium – and commission gets paid on your account – InsLite will pay you your rebate due.
Q. Is this a PEO (employee leasing company)? Do I have to do my payroll with InsLite?
A. No! InsLite is a discount insurance broker. We operate just like a 'regular' insurance agency offering Florida workers' compensation - except we charge less money to the customer due to our low-cost structure.
Q. My current agent says that I will lose services by moving my coverage
to InsLite? Is that true?
A. No! InsLite provides certificates, verification of coverage, and outstanding customer service response times as part of our service menu. Because we do not have a sales staff, and do the majority of our business online, we have a lower cost structure and can offer 'more for less'
Q. Will I receive a paper copy of our policy? And certificates and endorsements?
A. No – InsLite will send you a digital image (.pdf) of your insurance policy. InsLite operates as a "paperless" agency. Our insureds usually find that an e-copy helps them streamline their insurance administration as they can have better access to their policies in a digital format versus paper. (They also love not having insurance policies clutter up their offices!)
By foregoing postage, paper, and mailing supplies, InsLite can maintain its low-cost provider structure…and pass the savings onto you, our client!
Q: Who will send me my 'broken arm' poster and posting notice(s)?
A: These will be sent to you by the insurance carrier underwriting your account.
Q: Will I have an agent or dedicated representative at InsLite.com?
A: Yes! You will have a contact assigned to your account and this person will work with you for any and
all customer service needs.
Q: If I have losses on my policy, will that affect my rebate eligibility?
A: No! Your rebate is strictly related to your premium and commission – losses do not factor into your
rebate eligibility whatsoever.
Q: If I move my coverage to InsLite.com, can I still qualify for dividend and safety group programs?
A. Yes! If you qualify for a dividend or safety group payout, InsLite.com’s rebate(s) will not affect that in any way. In fact, you’ll be saving even more money with InsLite.com if you have a potential dividend on top of your rebate from InsLite.com
Q: What about my other lines of coverage, like property, liability, and auto insurance? Can InsLite handle these for me?

This is done in order to ensure an excellent customer service experience and also to comply with Florida’s rebate guidelines. We will be happy to refer you to an outstanding commercial agency - Sabal Insurance Group – to help you with your other insurance needs.
